Unfortunately, many newborns die because of the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). There are few tips parents could follow in order to lower the probability of such incidents.

First, the child should sleep in the parent’s bedroom till the age of 6 months and sometimes 1 year. But at least 6 months.
Second, the baby should sleep on his back to avoid getting suffocated.
Third, the mattress should be solid, and with no toys or anything that can get in the way and cause the baby to suffocate.
